This little kitchen I made for my little girl a couple of years ago.
A great diy kitchen! I cant wait to blog about her playhouse we are finishing up soon!
Audrey’s Little Kitchen
‘
After some research on Pinterest and alot of thinking I decided to make Audrey a lil kitchen! I really wanted it to be unique and something she could grow into. So we had a nightstand that we use in her closet to store things that I wanted to use but it was too tall for her to reach the top at the time so I asked my mom (the best ever at diy projects) if she had anything I could use and she had this vintage phone table. I thought it would be great because she can use the lower part for her play cooking and we can add legs when she gets too tall for it (not far from needing the legs now)! :) First thing I did was looked around the house. I am married to a save everything kind of brilliant man! So best place to start is the garage! Found 1 knob and the other 3 my mom had she gave me. Then I remember that I had been saving our coffee containers to use again for something and thought the lids would be great for the burners/cooking eyes. The chalkboard I already had from when I made her Diaper Wreath for hospital door. The paint is a white paint that we already had from painting cabinets in laundry room. Black paint is some acrylic paint had on hand. So only thing that was purchased was stickem hooks- about $2.00 and the drawer knob from Home Dept- about $2.75. So Audrey’s whole kitchen cost around $5!! Now Im not saying that it will cost anyone this much to make it depending on what details you would like but there really is always something you can REUSE that you already have! Plus it makes it more fun!
So I was gonna wait for my husband to sand and paint and help me work on this because he is a better painter but being ME I got impatient and he had a really busy week at work so during baby girls naptime got the baby monitor and got started!

This is what I started with. First was sanding and priming it. Just used a can of spray paint primer from walmart that we already had.
All painted and ready for folgers coffee lids. I hand painted the oven part (not the best could have been straighter) Sorry some of the pictures came out blurry.
Next I put the knobs and handle on and got her pots and pans ready. Making some eggs right now. :)
Almost Complete!!!
All Done and Audrey loves her kitchen!!
